Taylor Swift, action films, and period pieces were passenger favorites. Emirates’ ICE entertainment system offers a wide array of content, including popular TV shows, movies, and albums. The most-watched live television event was the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup, while the most-streamed shows were Succession and The White Lotus. The entertainment system caters to diverse cultural tastes, with popular movies from Bollywood, French cinema, and other international sources.

Approaching the end of 2023, Middle Eastern legacy carrier Emirates released the shows, music, and movies that passengers watched and listened to the most throughout the year on its Information, Connectivity, and Entertainment (ICE) inflight entertainment system. The ICE system, which supplies entertainment on flights to over 140 destinations across the globe, stands as one of the highest-regarded entertainment products of any airline.

With over 6,500 channels of television and over 2,000 Hollywood and Bollywood movies, the system is expansive and offers passengers a broad array of content to choose from. Additionally, ICE’s music library also provides passengers with over 3,000 albums, over 40,000 tracks, and 4,000 hours of music to stream, according to Travel Radar.

Across all the platform’s many options, a few specific TV shows, movies, and albums stood out to passengers. The most-watched live television event was the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup, and the most-streamed shows were HBO MAX’s Succession and The White Lotus.

In terms of movies, the most popular films included Avatar: The Way of Water, Top Gun: Maverick, and Ticket to Paradise. American pop star Taylor Swift took the top spot this year in the music category for her Midnights album.

A Movie or TV Show for Everyone
The carrier’s entertainment system has not failed to cater to passengers with music, TV, and movie tastes that differ across cultures. Bollywood movies, including the thriller hits, Vikram Vedha and Bholaa, also were among the most-watched movies. French movies were not far behind, alongside other internationally acclaimed pictures from across the globe. Anatomie d’une chute, winner of the Palme d’Or at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival, was among the most popular films, in addition to fellow French blockbuster La Syndicaliste. Korean drama Return to Seoul was also among this year’s most-seen.
