Farrukh Majeed leads overall coverage of aviation technology issues in all segments of Aviation i.e. General Aviation, Business Aviation, Commercial Aviation, and Military Aviation– having over 37 years of extensive experience to his credit, ardently focused on aerospace engineering and aircraft technology across the aviation/aerospace industry, with a special focus & emphasis on identifying technologies changes & developments of strategic importance to aviation, travel trade, and defense sectors.
Farrukh Majeed has an impressive qualification background in Aerospace and aircraft engineering –Full Flight Simulator (FFS) and basic computer trainings (IR) on multiple engine aircraft includes Executive Jets abroad with having special emphasis on in Aircraft performance and design.
He actively played a vital role under the umbrealla of International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) in the past by contributing indepth research and reports, for Aviation Operations management program in Pakistan with the Civil Aviation Authority of Pakistan through his editorial contributions as well as breifings with the top managemet and Standing Committee under Ministry of Defence (MoD). Moreover, he also contributed to improve National Flag Carrier PIA with having provided guidelines as to how the PIA may rise?
Grew Up in Pakistan and besides have successfully achieved further understandings in the field of aviation/ aerospace from abroad time to time where he have had attended short/ long courses in the aviation field includes Runway equipments, Nav-aid and participated in several trainings on instruments/ simulations, workshops and Press conferences, International conventions includes on various aircraft (Executive Jets, Turbo Propellers, commercial jets and military aircraft), (nav aids) navigational equipments and on aircraft crash investigation. Moreover, he has also attended military technology awareness programs/ conferences & conventions/ events from highly recognized manufacturer’s invitations during the last almost two decades. He is the Member of Council of Pakistan’s Newspapers Editors’ (C.P.N.E) in Pakistan and representing National Buisness Aviation Association (NBAA), the biggest Aviation Association of the United States of America, The Society of British Aerospace Companies (SBAC), United Kingdom.
He has also successfully represented AIR WORLD from Pakistan at all major aviation events/ exhibitions & International Airshows include; He attended many times Farnborough International Air Show (United Kingdom), Dubai Air Show, National Business Aviation Association conventions in the United States, Maintenance Repair & Overhaul (MRO) conferences in the (USA), Middle East Business Aviation (MEBA) in Dubai. Besides, since 1997 he actively participates in the biggest Business Aviation Convention being held every year in the United States i.e. National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) convention and several other international aviation events where he actively representing Pakistan’s business/ commercial Aviation activities and promotions. His publication Air World got awarded best reporting and its contributed towards the betterment of Aviation and Defence industry of Pakistan by the Federal level in 2003-4.
Farrukh Majeed, is the only Pakistani Aviation Journalist invited by the Boeing Company (US Government) officially on educational FAM/ training tour where he visited the Boeing Company’s both Renton & Everett facilities/ factory in Seattle, Washington D.C. being as the Guest of United States Government. Farrukh Majeed toured the Boeing series of products lines assembly like 737-800 Next Generation (NG), 777s includes B777-200LR, B777-300ER, the new 787 Dream Liners the time when it was under manufacturing for briefing and de-briefings and got his inputs on the operational and technical aspects of this new aircraft. Also he visited Everett facilities product lines where Boeing 747-8 freighter aircraft are being manufactured.
Farrukh Majeed honoured once again by the United States where he also attended military aircraft conferences include C-130 Hercules Worldwide operators conference in ATLANTA, Georgia, United States. He again honoured by the United States Government also invited by their Georgia Department of Economic Development Organization in Atlanta, Georgia, where he interviewed and shared thoughts with the Commissioner of Georgia, top Directors and played a vital role in supporting the Georgia Department of Economic Development and explained to them as how they may not only to promote their small & medium business in the South East Asia including Pakistan but also what Pakistan can offer to them. During his lustrious 35 years career in the Aerospace/Aviation, Farrukh Majeed also interviewed as well as shared thoughts with the world leading airlines’ CEO’s & Presidents at respective airline’s Head Office levels. He also contributed and played a key role in providing suggestive measures to the concerned authorities include Ministry of Defence (MoD) for the betterment of aviation operations in Pakistan.
